Ivan Honchar Museum invites to attend a lecture on the history of costume on March 23 at 15:00. The theme of the practical lesson "Crew of a traditional shirt".
At the workshop we will study:
- The oldest type of shirts - "v perekydku". This cut is common for women's and men's shirts.
- A traditional set-top cut of a shirt with two options for sewing a set to a machine - on a basis and on a potion.
Let's talk about folk customs and prohibitions on embroidery and sewing of women's, men's and children's shirts. About ceremonies and rituals that were made with shirts. About "household magic" and taboo of our ancestors.
